| Indian Bank opens ATM in Madras University Campus |
Indian Bank which has entered its 101st year this August, has opened an ATM in the Madras University Campus.
Inaugurating the ATM today, Prof.S.Ramachandran, Vice Chancellor, Madras University lauded Indian Bank for its initiatives in providing immediate loan facilities to students to pursue higher education. He also appreciated the Bank for its pioneering efforts in taking Banking Technology to the Common Man.
Speaking at the inaugural function Shri.M.S.Sundara Rajan, Chairman & Managing Director, Indian Bank said, “Over 1212 branches of the Bank have already been brought under CBS covering over 95% of the Bank’s business. The customers of the Bank would now have access to over 20,000 ATMs in the country through the shared network”.
“Bank is committed to be a contributing factor to the growth of the country in the field of education, by providing financial assistance to all meritorious students desirous of pursuing higher education”, he said adding that the Bank has so far granted Educational Loans to 80949 students to an extent of Rs.944.94 crores.
The Bank is already providing internet banking, tele banking, mobile banking facilities apart from the regular banking services.
