MULTI CITY CHEQUE ACCOUNT SCHEME

Notice to Customer Regarding Modification in the norms for Minimum Balance in MULTICITY ACCOUNTS
Eligibility / Minimum Balance to be maintained
Multi City Cheque facility is allowed in all the CBS Branches, in the following types of accounts: 1. Current Accounts, in which a minimum balance of Rs.50,000 - Quarterly Average Balance (QAB) is maintained 2. Savings Bank, in which a minimum balance of Rs.10,000 - Monthly Average Balance (MAB) is maintained 3. OD/OCC accounts, which have been sanctioned with a total fund based limits of Rs.Five lakhs and above and are well operated Note: Accounts of minors, illiterate persons, blind persons, accounts under litigation/court attachment, pension accounts and accounts where operations are encumbered are not eligible to avail Multi City Banking facility. Charges for not maintaining the minimum balance When the balance goes below the stipulated minimum amount, Rs.100 per month – will be charged on the last date of the month- for SB and Rs.750 per quarter - will be charged on the last date of calendar quarter (i.e.., March,June, September and December) for Current Account per occasion shall be levied. Issue of Multi City Cheque Book a. in multiples of 20 leaves, for Savings Accounts (with no free cheque leaves, hitherto allowed) and b. in multiples of 50/100 leaves, for Current/OCC/OD accounts ii The charges for Multi City cheque book will be @ Rs.3/- per leaf in all cases.

I/We request you to issue me/us Multi City cheque book. I/We am/are agreeable to maintain the minimum balance of Rs ................................... required for the Multi City Cheque facility. I/We have understood the rules, terms and conditions governing the Multi City Banking facility of the Bank in force as on date (including the upper ceiling fixed for single/aggregate daily cash transactions) and to be in force from time to time and be bound by them. I am /We are specifically agreeable for debiting my/our above account towards the service charges including the charges payable for the non-maintenance of stipulated minimum balance in the account. I/We authorise the bank to debit the charges to my/our above account.

For Branch use only We hereby certify that the specimen signature(s) of the authorised person(s) in the above accounts have been scanned, captured and linked to the respective accounts in the Core Banking System. We recommend that Multi City Cheque facility may be allowed in the above account(s). Multi City Cheque Book Containing .. leaves may be issued to the account.
01. Multi City Account is a new service/product made available to select customers of the Bank who fulfil the eligibility norms 02. For Current Accounts, in which a minimum balance of Rs.50,000 - Quarterly Average Balance (QAB) is maintained and Savings Bank, in which a minimum balance of Rs.10,000 - Monthly Average Balance (MAB) is maintained 03. For OD/CC accounts total fund based limits of Rs.5 lakhs and above should have been sanctioned and the accounts are under well operated category. 04. The Multi City cheques should be used for upcountry payments only. For local payments, the normal cheque leaves shall be used. 06. The Multi City cheque will be issued a) in multiples are 20 leaves for Savings Accounts ( with no free cheque leaves) and b) in multiples of 50 / 100 leaves, for Current / OD / OCC accounts. 07. The customers are allowed to withdraw cash either by self cheque or issue third party cash cheque at any CBS Branch (other than the Home Branch where the account is maintained) subject to the following limit : a) The maximum amount of single cheque for cash withdrawal shall not exceed Rs.50,000/-. 08. Multi City Cheque facility shall be extended normally, only during the business hours and Only when Home branch, the Host branch and the Central Data Centre are up and running through online connectivity. 09. Cash can be remitted to the credit of a Multi City account, either by self or third party, at a CBS branch, other than the home branch, whether within the same city/centre or at an upcountry city/ centre, subject to charges; Details of Charges (with effect from 01.03.2008)
Cash transactions at any branch other than the Home Branch & Clearing and Transfer transactions made at branches in an upcountry centre (outside the clearing centre) The existing charges for Transactions in Multi City Accounts are as under: Within City/Centre (Intra City)
