  4. The Premium is eligible for income tax rebate u/s 80 D of IT Act (Upto Rs.15000 for general and Rs.20000 for Senior Citizens)

  1. Insurance cover available between Rs.50000 and Rs.5 lakh under Plans A and B and between Rs.50000 and Rs. 3 lakh under Plan C.

  2. Personal Accident Death Cover up to the amount of sum insured at the following rates: 100% to Account holder, 50% to Spouse and 25% to Children

  3. Cashless Treatment with a wide Network Hospitals through Third Party Administrators (TPA).  When you are hospitalised, all you have to do is to show the TPA card/policy to the Hospital who will arrange to get pre-authorisation from the TPA for hospitalisation expenses through fax. Once pre-authorisation from the TPA is received cashless treatment starts

  4. There may be instances where the TPA may not sanction cashless treatment due to past medical history. In such cases an option will be given to the policy holder to make a separate claim to the TPA within 15 days of discharge from the hospital

  5. Covers  hospitalisation expenses for Diseases/Illness / Injury/Accident

  6. A minimum of 24 Hrs hospitalisation is required for eligibility for reimbursement of hospitalisation expenses

  7. Maternity Expenses benefit is eligible after 9 months from the date of proposal; Upto 5% of Sum Insured

  8. Child Care benefit: Upto 3 months from the date of birth; 5% of Sum Insured within the overall eligible maternity expenses benefit

  9. 30 days Pre-hospitalisation expenses and 60 days Post-hospitalisation reimbursed

  1. The Third Party Administrators (TPA) authorised by United India Insurance Company Limited to handle this Policy for cashless operations are:

·         TTK Healthcare Services Pvt. Ltd.  and

·         Medicare TPA Services (I) Pvt. Ltd.  

  1.  Any two dependent children covered ; In case of sons, up to 21 years/employment and in case of daughters, till marriage or employment , whichever is earlier

  1. Facility of paying the premium through any of our branches without any charge (some banks are levying handling charges)

  2. Free Health Check up: The insured shall be entitled for a free Medical check-up to be carried out by the Company authorised TPAs once at the end of block of every three underwriting years provided there are no claims reported during the block subject to a limit of 1% on the average of the sum insured opted during the preceding three policy periods.

  3. Enhancement of Sum Insurance only at the time of Renewal and is restricted to the immediate next higher slab of Sum Insured as given in the premium chart

  4. The existing benefits under the policy will be extended even in the case of an insured person from other insurance company switching over to United India before the expiry of the policy period. .

  5. Premium cheque to be drawn on “ United India Insurance Co. Ltd. A/c IB Arogya Raksha” Proposal form to be duly filled in duplicate, signed by members and branch official

  6. Signed acknowledgement (tear off) will be given immediately to the custome by the branch 2 sets of stamp size/passport size photographs to be taken. One set affixed in the respective places and the other should be put in a separate cover and sent. The photos should bear the names written on the reverse

  7. In case of non-receipt of Policies branches may take up with Insurance company under copy to IB Bancassurance Service Centre, Chennai.   8. Settlement of Claims is the sole responsibility of M/s United India Insurance Co. Ltd. However, Indian Bank provides advisory services only. Bank reserves right to change/alter any terms and conditions without prior notice.
