An Appeal - Contribute to a Noble Cause through Indian Bank
The Cancer Institute, Chennai
  • The Cancer Institute (W.I.A), in Adyar at Chennai, Tamil Nadu was founded in 1954
  • It is a non-government, non-profit charitable organisation dedicated to the patients affected by cancer
  • Nearly 60% of the patients belong to economically weaker section and they are treated free of cost
Donation raising campaign
  • On the eve of entering the Golden Jubilee Year, the Institute has come out with a Donation Raising Campaign for one year for one year from now to collect Rs.20 crore
  • The intention is to associate people from all walks of life in this noble cause.
  • People can donate from as little as Rs.20 and above
  • Donations of Rs.250 and above are eligible for Income Tax exemption u/s 80 G of IT Act.
How to Donate
  • Please approach any nearby branch of Indian bank and remit your donation through a specially designed challan
  • It is totally free of service charge irrespective of the amount.
80G Exemption Certificate
  • For donors of Rs.250 and above, who are desirous of availing the IT exemption, the Insitute wil send the 80 G exemption certificates directly to them. So please do not forget to furnish your full postal address in the challan
Non Resident Indians (NRIs)
  • Non-Resident Indians can also donate for this noble cause
  • They can send their contributions through any of the foreign banks
  • The beneficiary is "The Cancer Institute (W.I.A), Chennai" who are maintaining Savings Bank A/c. No.38422 with Indian Bank, Adyar Branch, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
